Conventional models of collective intelligence rely on individuals making unbiased, at least partially informed decisions. However, animal decision making through repeated experience may often be biased due to the constraints in information sampling (so-called the hot stove effect).
This talk will introduce the Ecological Active Learning framework, which focuses on children’s ability to adapt and tailor their active learning strategies to the particular structure and characteristics of a learning environment.
