Summary: Sociality is one of the key features of our ecological success as a species. While often taken for granted, entertaining and entertaining regular social interaction with others is costly. In this workshop, we will ask a series of experts what counts for an individual to be or become a group member in the population they study. We hope to discuss the ecological and cognitive conditions of the emergence of social membership in the animal kingdom.
