Biography

Dr. Hernán Anlló obtained his Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience under the direction of Sid Kouider, studying sentence-processing during NREM sleep (Cogmaster, ENS-Paris 6-EHESS, France). He then obtained his PhD in Cognitive Psychology under the direction of Jérôme Sackur, studying the cognitive deployment of Hypnosis and its impact on perception and attention (Frontières du Vivant, ENS-Paris7, France). He currently studies the influence of social variables, emotional value and explicit/implicit suggestion on low and high-level mechanisms of cognition: mainly attention, perception, bodily consciousness & decision-making. Dr. Anlló was awarded a JSPS postdoctoral research fellowship at the Watanabe Cognitive Science Lab in Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, and is now starting his second postdoctoral appointment at the HRL team at LNC2, ENS-PSL, France. He is also co-director of the Complementary Care Research Team at the Centre Hospitalier de Bligny (Briis-sous-Forges, France), studying the clinical impact of mind-body therapeutic approaches in palliative care.
