Normative approaches to neural circuits and behavior
Overview

I am a PhD student co-supervised by Sophie Denève (ENS, Paris) and Renaud Jardri (SCALab, Lille). I started my PhD in Oct 2017.

I am working on possible neural implementations of hierarchical Bayesian Inference, and in particular of Belief Propagation, an approximate inference algorithm.

The goal of my PhD is to go toward a more biologically plausible model of how the brain exchanges and represents information. I base this investigation going from the previously developed model "Circular Inference", which uses respectively Belief Propagation and probabilities for that. I am also interested in the disruption of the model, which could explain some of the symptoms of schizophrenia.

Short biography

I studied in Paris at École Polytechnique, with a specialization in data science, during which I interned with Alex Reyes at NYU (5 months).

I obtained in June 2017 a Master's degree in machine learning from ENS Cachan.

I am currently a PhD student co-supervised by Sophie Denève (ENS Ulm, Paris) and Renaud Jardri (SCALab, Lille). I started my PhD in Oct 2017.
